• Free SAT / ACT Essentials on Tutor.com - 

  • 1. Log in on Tutor.com (use your VHS email for your username or email and GearUp21 for the password)

  • 2. Click on “Test Prep. and Self-Study” and then “Prep for the SAT / ACT” in the dropdown menu

  • 3. Click on “Prep for the ACT Now”

  • 4. Click on “Tests” to access both online and paper tests

• Free ACT with Writing Online Practice Test - Access multiple online ACT timed and untimed tests 

  • IMPORTANT: Click on “Practice Tests" once you have navigated to the TestNav sign on page. No log in credentials are needed.

• Free EBSCO Learning Express Guided ACT Course - Take an entire Guided ACT test that prepares you and tests you for each subject area

  • 1. Click on https://www.ilsos.gov/departments/library/iris.html

  • 2. Once you are on the "Illinois Reliable Information Sources," scroll down and click on "Learning Express."

  • 3. Click "Continue" on the "External Link Disclaimer" box.

  • 4. Once you are on the "Welcome to the Learning Express Library" page, register for an account by clicking on "Sign In / Register" and then "Register." Once you have created an account, you will simply log in.

  • 5. Once you are back on the "Welcome to the Learning Express Library" page, scroll down to "Academic Skills" and Test Preparation and then click on "Prepare for College." 

  • 6. Click on "Guided ACT Course."

PreACT 9 (9th Grade) and PreACT (10th Grade): 

• Free PreACT 9 Secure (9th Grade) and PreACT Secure (10th Grade) Online Practice Test - Access multiple online PreACT 9 and PreACT timed and untimed tests
